Laan van Groen in brief
Location: Meppelrade. Housing: 13 single family dwellings for sale. All homes are sold. Status: The homes were completed in October 2010.
The new building project, Laan van Groen was realized at the top of the dead end part of the Meppelrade, ‘hidden away’ in The Hague South West. The location of Laan van Groen is very unusual because of the way it is enclosed. A wide strip of trees and water forms the natural border between the front of the houses and the Dedemsvaartweg. The borders with Zichtenburg and the Meppelweg are also marked off by water and greenery. This makes Laan van Groen an intimate little neighbourhood in the lively The Hague South West district.
Laan van Groen with its spacious single family homes opens a new chapter in the development of the neighbourhood. The homes are strikingly spacious with a surface area of 132 m2 and three bedrooms. The lay-out is a nice surprise and because of its big windows the homes are extremely light. A little sheltered square at the centre of the project gives Laan van Groen its own identity.
A number of people who were interested in the Laan van Groen project indicated that they would find the single family homes more attractive if the kitchen was on the front of the house. Because of the current status of the building work this option on the “extra options” list is no longer possible. However, there is currently a great offer that can be discussed with the contractor for the project, Martens Aannemingsbedrijf, and the kitchen supplier, Bruynzeel Keukens: they will move connections for the kitchen to the front of the house free of charge. This will give you a saving of EUR 8,000.
