The heat from the geothermal heat source, for the present, can only be used in new homes because the heat installation in the home has to be suitable for low temperature heating. Also there has to be a special underfloor heating system in place and the home has to be well insulated. Research will be done into the possibilities of connecting existing housing to the geothermal heating network. The precondition will have to be that these homes must be well insulated and will have to be fitted with good floor or wall heating.
