The Hague is going for a better climate
Geothermal Heat The Hague is an alliance between the Municipality of the Hague, the energy companies E.ON Benelux and Eneco and the housing corporations Staedion, Vestia and Haag Wonen. These parties want to work together towards a better climate. The Hague is the first city in the Netherlands that is using deep geothermal heat for providing residential areas with heating. In the coming years approximately 4,000 homes and some companies The Hague South West will be connected to geothermal heat.

The project is made possible by subsidy support from the Unique Opportunities Ruling. SenterNovem is implementing this, commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
